That critic makes some decent points in his op ed. Many of the recent 195 projects seem bland at best.

I believe the thinking behind developing 1A is to address the fact that most of the existing buildings along South Water Street have absolutely zero engagement on the waterfront side.
While I like the degree of public space they're activating in the chosen proposal, maybe it does feel like a floor too tall.

But really the biggest question I have is why would he (or anyone, really) write for GoLocal?
