^ what I wouldn't give to get to work on a theater piece in that space.

Story in Universal Hub today relevant to this project. The developer has had this project on the books since 2003, that's when the property was bought anyway. This project may have started before the harbor garage and the millennium tower projects.

Yes, after the approval in 2005 they've just sat on it until this year. Really missed out on the recent boom. Financing must be much harder now so I have to wonder if this will ever get built.

Unfortunately, this was not approved at the BPDA meeting last week. The Board was “disturbed” by the letters from the community alleging that they were not heard and not treated with respect. The Board voted to table the NPC to at least the next month to allow the developer to rebuild trust with the community.

Oh ok, thats weird that they updated the site to say approved if it is in fact not. I do see though that now that the approval npc is clickable and can be viewed that it says tabled on the document. Weird way of going about it.
