A Green Path Network for the Traffic-Intolerant Bicyclist

with

Peter Furth
Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering
Northeastern University

To achieve growth in urban bicycle trips, route planning and facility design has to target traffic-intolerant cyclists. Local efforts to use modestly priced innovative facilities directed at capturing this key sector will be explored. Dr. Furth will also present a vision for addressing the 'missing links' in the Boston area's current system, creating a network of green path bike routes that would increase connected origin-destination pairs more than six-fold.
