Boston's Seaport is about to be inundated with architects from all around the country. From May 15 - 17 the AIA will hold their annual convention at the BCEC. General admission to the expo is free.

AIA EXPO2008 PAVILIONS

AIA Expo2008 features four concentrated product pavilions and XX companies providing green products throughout the floor.

The Software and High-Tech Pavilion will showcase the latest software for designing, drafting, engineering, construction management, and other tasks. Featured exhibitors will include Bentley Systems, American Reprographics Company and PlanWell Technology Center, Graphisoft, and Autodesk Inc.

The Kitchen and Bath Pavilion will explore the latest trends in products and services for kitchen and bath design and construction, including cabinets, bath and kitchen accessories, countertops, appliances, sinks, and showers. Featured companies will include Kraftmaid Cabinetry Inc.,TOTO USA, and Delta Faucet Company.

At the Lighting Pavilion, you?ll find the tools you need to illuminate your next project?from wall sconces, chandeliers, and task lighting to bollards, path lights, and security lighting. Featured exhibitors include Ivalo Lighting Inc.,Transformit, and Zumbotel Lighting.

At the Stone and Tile Pavilion, sponsored by Stone World and Contemporary Stone and Tile Design magazines, explore the latest in pavers, cultured river rock, gleaming granite, and decorative and industrial tiles. Featured exhibitors include the Natural Stone Council, Italian Trade Commissions of New York City and San Antonio, and Tile of Spain.

This is funny when I searched for a thread about AIA Conventions in Boston, the last post was 2008. It's coming back in 2025! The Seaport will be quite a bit different than in 2008 when I led tours.
