What it’s like walking to Assembly from Winter Hill. Still not the best experience - treacherous almost. It does still look cool from afar though.

In the fifth photo it looks as if they are advertising a giant cannabis building under construction! A visitor who did not know that this was Somerville and not Chelsea might be a little confused.

The reatil is very much not dead, and the parking lots aren't new and will be built on over coming decades.

What’s interesting to me is how slender these buildings can appear. Adds impression of more height. Much more interesting than a cube-ish proportion (see: the seaport).

The slender proportions do make it more interesting. Pretty solid looking finishes too.

This building was proposed in 2021 and broke ground in 2022... There was a plan in 2016, but it was from a different developer.

Ahh! ok. I was going by the thread. So soil being pushed around in 2019 by some other construction team; new proposal 2021 and commence with current construction project in 2022. The persistence to keep this site moving forward is still amazing when I looked back through the thread.
