From new planning documents for the Center Park - 290 Binney is leased to AstraZeneca, partly as a new HQ for subsidiary Alexion Pharmaceuticals (this has actually been known since 2022). Since 250 Binney isn't coming anytime soon, recommend changing this thread title to "AstraZeneca/Alexion | 290 Binney Street | Kendall Square" and starting a separate thread for 250 when it happens.

Done - but ended up re-editing it to incorporate the "MXD" back in the title since a lot of people might have been used to looking out for that / searching for that.
 
Like how this is looking, just some interesting massing and facade treatment makes building so much more quality addition to the urban fabric as opposed to the bland residential in Seaport, labs in Northpoint and Assembly etc. ...
 
Yea I have to agree, its still a blue glass tower but the angled facade and detailing of the metal grille makes a big difference.

Gotta tip my cap to lab tower projects that extend the expensive main facade all the way up to cover the mechanical levels. I think it makes a huge difference to make such a large building feel integral to a city, as opposed to it feeling like a giant intrusive piece of industrial equipment.
 
They have rigged part of the self-erection equipment on the crane closest to Binney. I expect the crane will be coming down soon.
