Berlin Referendum

Berlin overwhelmingly passed a referendum for the city to purchase hundreds of thousands of apartments to create long term sustainability in housing for tenants. It is a non-binding referendum but not following it would be seen as very anti-democratic and a powder keg. The word expropriation is not what I would call this plan, although many have used it. I anticipate it will be very successful in its goals, although some people might judge it by other goals it isn't trying to achieve (like maximizing profits from housing). Something to keep an eye on regardless of your view of it.

I also anticipate some people here will very strongly oppose this and you are just going to have to take the L here lol.
