Beverly Development Site Trades for $2.3M​

“The development site at 478 Rantoul Street in Beverly for has been aquired for $2,300,000. Plans for the site call for the conversion of the existing 3-family to include 250 s.f of commercial use on the first floor with 2 residential units to occupy the rest of the building. The existing building will be connected to a new building consisting of a first level parking area and four levels of residential use above, totaling 30 new one-bedroom residential units.”

450+ Units Planned for Beverly Site​

“Originally proposed in 2017, plans are now back in the works for multifamily development along Trask Lane in Beverly. The Commons at Trask Lane, planned by John M. Corcoran & Co. would include 466 residential units spread across 4 buildings. In March, the Beverly Planning Board approved a subdivision for the project with site plan review now pending.”

Approved, cut to 440 units from 466, not bad.

Still though.. why? The need to cut every project in order to satiate the nimbys is so weird. Do those 26 units make that big a difference to them? No, but thats 26 people who dont get an apartment. So dumb, but thats the game that needs to get played right now.
