From Maynard to MAYEnard: Mass. town to change name for Drake Maye on Super Bowl Sunday

The Massachusetts town is planning a one-day name change as New England heads to Super Bowl LX — and hopes its quarterback notices.

On Feb. 8, as the New England Patriots take the field in Super Bowl LX, Maynard, Massachusetts may briefly disappear — replaced by the Town of MAYEnard, a tongue-in-cheek tribute to star quarterback Drake Maye.
The town of about 10,000 residents, located west of Boston, is seeking to temporarily change its name for the day, pending approval from its Select Board, according to a press release from town officials.
