Exactly what the title says, I thought it'd be fun to compile a list of buildings here that seem to be reduxes of ones in NYC. I'll start:

The Lipstick Building

Boylston St

*****

Time Warner Center

Intercontinental Hotel (image credit goes to xec)

*****

15 Central Park West

Mandarin Oriental

*****

Citicorp Center

Federal Reserve

The Fed. Reserve building in Boston always reminded me of NY's AT&T Long Lines building, only because both are "windowless." (I realize the Fed. Reserve building has plenty of windows, but I grew up only seeing it from the windowless side.

Time Warner-Intercontiental is particularly apt, as is Citicorp-Federal Reserve (both by Stubbins).

But according to NIMBYs and their running dogs in the press, every proposed Boston building over nine stories is "New York style."
