Bring the USS Olympia to Boston

That'd be cool.

Relatedly, any word on the fate of USS Cassin Young? Last I heard there was some bad leakage below her waterline. She was in dry-dock a couple years ago, but was absent this past summer.

If were talking Philly ships, I'd rather see the SS United States, which is still the blue riband holder for fastest trans-atlantic crossing. It's also the ship my family came over on, which should be reason enough...

The United States is beautiful. If you are ever driving between Washington and Boston it is worth dropping by the Philadelphia waterfront to see it. It would make a great casino!

The interior is stripped, but the hull is sound.

We have plenty of old warships in varying states of decay. The Salem is in Quincy, Battleship Cove (probably a better place anyway) has some and I think there are some in Rhode Island. Turns out, they are beast to maintain, even as museums.

The drydock work in 2012 helped bring the ship back to shape, but they moved her again this summer to do repair work on her berth. Apparently they brought that back into good condition too, and the USS Cassin Young slipped back to Charlestown with little fanfare at some point this fall.
