Urban design and civic activism

February 17
6:30 pm
The Architects Building
52 Broad Street, Boston

Design and planning professionals are increasingly committed to the communities they serve, acting as advocates, educators and champions of the public realm. The Urban Design Committee is joined by Bryan Bell, Brandy Brooks and David Price on February 17 at 6:30pm at The Architect's Building who share their points of view and open a roundtable discussion about community development, civic engagement and the leadership roles designers can play.

Bell is a Harvard GSD Loeb Fellow ('10) and executive director of Design Corps; Brooks is director of the Rudy Bruner Award for Urban Excellence; and Price is executive director of Nuestra Comunidad Development Corporation.

The meeting is free and open to all. Dinner will be provided to those who RSVP by February 16 to rsvp@architects.org with "UD 2/17" in the subject line.
