BU Development Thread

Really wish they'd build StuVi III to help ease residential demand in the area, but at least they're reducing the size of incoming classes.

BU is reducing the size of the September entering class to increase selectivity thus helping them to rise in the USNews rankings. The size of the January entering class is being increased. Check out the CGS January-London program.

Well, that's depressing.

Just shows how dumb the USNews rankings are (apologies for derailing this thread).

This was an illustration of the proposed Alexander Graham Bell Tower that was supposed to be built behind Marsh Chapel around WWII. Post-war, the plans were scrapped and the law tower was built instead. You can still see the part of CAS and Theology that was built as planned.

Perhaps because newer facilities already exist and are in use.

Yeah because 2 courts a mile away really do meet everybodys need.

Its an existing court. It is beloved. Why on earth would you fill it with dirt?

Also, maintenance costs are close to zero. Unlike a pool, which Shelton had but was closed, and Myles might have had as well.

Beloved is a stretch. The racquetball and squash courts in StuVi are very popular, however.

Exactly. Popular, low cost sport. No point in removing options. The courts are also multiuse, they can be set up for badmington as well

Thanks for the update - this one is really shaping up nicely.

Per drive-by on the B Line yesterday, looks like the cladding is completely done except for that little ground-level indentation closest to the street. They're working at torrid pace inside on the utilities.

Really hauling ass with this thing. Guessing they'll make Fall semester with ample time to spare on getting it fully open for business.

This thing is awful. Looks like a bunker. They should've tucked this projects along the pike, out of view. What a shame.

A quick tour of the entire corridor, mostly as a before of the upcoming comm ave redo
