Its nice to see modular housing finally starting to make a comeback, couldnt have come at a better time. The 5 over 1 revolutionized the 4-6 story low rise, making them extremely cheap to build and theyre now ubiquitous across every city. Modular construction has the chance to do the same thing for the 6-10 story building segment. This has historically been a tricky spot to make the numbers work because over 6 floors you had to move to steel frame or cast in place concrete and then at that point the taller you go the more the numbers work (to an extent). Modular can now make it so developers can cheaply build 7-10 even 15 story buildings all over the place. Now we just need the zoning to catch up to the technology.
