EpiCenter Tour /

100 West Second Street

Tour the first LEED Platinum building in Boston, the
headquarters of Artists for Humanity. Designed by
Arrowstreet, this building tour highlights the needs
of a non-profit organization, including sustainability,
functionality, and creative design. Tour led by Andrew
Motta of Artists for Humanity and Jim Batchelor of
Arrowstreet.

ADD Inc., 311 Summer Street

Peter Vanderwarker is co-author of Cityscapes of
Boston and well versed in the history of Fort Point
Channel. Through a photographic presentation he
illustrates the landmarks abutting the channel, the
construction of the Ted Williams Tunnel and shares
his thoughts on the future of this vibrant community.

Box City is a hands-on experience in architecture
and community planning led by Learning by Design
in Massachusetts, a K-12 design education program.
Participants create buildings and structures while

Drop-in session, children must be accompanied by
an adult.

Fort Point, a once-forgotten industrial area, is now
the focus of dynamic real estate development. Join
Boston By Foot and Common Boston as we explore
the Seaport district, Fan Pier and the Fort Point
Channel neighborhood, recently nominated for the
National Register of Historic Places.

and history of the Fort Point neighborhood;

and the multi-use connections to the Fort Point
Channel-Boston Harbor Waterfront. Led by John
Stebbins and Emily Grandstaff-Rice of Cambridge
Seven Associates and Michael Tyrrell, Fort Point

A hands-on walking tour of the architectural elements
of Fort Point Channel for children 7+ years
accompanied by an adult. The tour encourages children
to observe, seek, reflect and draw the Fort Point
neighborhood. Tour led by Cortney Kirk of Learning
by Design in Massachusetts.

Start at FPAC Store, 12 Farnsworth Street

Fort Point Channel is home to many architecture and
design firms. Join us for a self-guided tour of various
architectural firms in the neighborhood, including
Burt Hill, Neoscape, Spalding Tougias Architects,
Merge Architects and others. Drop in session, meet
at FPAC store to receive the information needed.

A Building that Teaches /
The Boston Children?s Museum
Front Entrance of Museum, 300 Congress Street

The LEED Gold Boston Children?s Museum combines
a concern for the planet with an understanding of
child development. This green museum teaches
children and families about the impact of buildings
on the environment. Tour led by Neil Gordon of the
Children?s Museum and Peter Kuttner of Cambridge
Seven Associates.

FP3, 346 Congress Street

Tour the recently completed and acclaimed FP3
mixed-use development, designed by Hacin + Associates,
ending the tour at Drink - a popular new bar in
the development. Tour led by David Hacin.
