These are so great. I can't really figure out precisely why, but 1 Dalton -- while certainly prominent and noticable from afar -- really only truly shines as one gets right up into its neighborhood. From far away, it's basically "Oh, so it's a... tall dark tower. Ok," but up-close it's this elegant, shapely, detailed sculpture.While I was taking these pics, a random guy walking by pointed up and said it was the perfect building. It's kind of hard to disagree during the day, so here's a giant photo dump because this building deserves it.
