What if, by divine intervention, we are able to relocate Logan Airport to a far away, but convenient place, what would we do with all of that land in East Boston? I want to know you best ideas. Note - for inspiration, look at Hong Kong's airport relocation project. Does someone want to do a little Google Sketchup?

There was an architect who did a proposal for this very thing. I searched Google but I couldn't find it.

Also, I highly doubt Logan would ever move, only because if the state tried to build a larger airport ANYWHERE in eastern Mass there would be the biggest shit fit.

I know it would never happen...actually years ago the state was scouting locations for a new Boston airport. Our best chance was the South Weymouth Naval Air Station, but I think that went belly up.

South Weymouth is probably the only good place other than Hanscom. Infact SW would be perfect since it would take a ton of traffic off the SE Expressway , both people heading to the airport and freight.
