How are the kiss and ride areas in the major terminal stations (such as Alewife) laid out?

I'm getting particularly annoyed with the layout of the Quincy Adams K&R, which has an incredibly sharp turn right in the area closest to the entry to the station, leading to constant backups there because so many people either can't be bothered to drive a few feet further down, or hug the curb a little closer.

Is this common, or is it unique to that station?

Biggest problem with Alewife K&R is when driving away as opposed to when dropping off.

Alewife has an area that warps around the stairs. Very few people drive all the way around, so the entrance does get backed up.

i can honestly say I never heard the term "Kiss and ride".

For me, that'd be pretty awkward, my dad drops me off most mornings.

lmao!

One Kiss and Ride that is totally fucked is Wellington. Wellington is a spaghetti bowl of K&R, busways, and parking roads.
