This thing is not good and its not bad, its just is. I wish they had at least gone with the black glass that was a part of the design for a bit, the blue glass just makes it even more of an anywhere usa design. If it was almost anywhere else it would just fade into the background noise, and probably still will even here, but its directly across from fenway, a little bit mote effort would have been nice. Or technically less effort since a couple of the earlier designs were better and they could have just stopped there. Ah well..

I’d like to see it in person, but the pictures are not encouraging. I think the intent was to honor the form of the previous brick building and create the illusion of a facadectomy with a glass tower rising from a more traditionally designed street-level three-story structure. That can work, but you do need to have clear distinctions in massing/setback/materials, etc. between the first three stories and the rest of the tower to pull it off. It doesn’t look like they came close to accomplishing that. Instead it looks like a tower with some orange paneling thrown up on the first three levels. Why even bother? A simple glass structure would probably cost less and look better.

This building seems to reject the idea that buildings should have structure. It's like they were required to have a facade at street level, and then said f it, glass box on top.
