Construction pricing is absolutely all over the place right now..
My guess is they will design the foundations for the full height loads to future-proof it for when they decide to build to that. This was the case for the Central Garage when they added levels a while back. They’ve also considered adding levels to Economy Garage so I’m guessing those foundations were future-proofed as well.I figured it was costs. Are they going to build upwards when financing allows, or are they locked in with the number of floors. I don’t want to see MassPort coming back to the trough with another garage elsewhere in East Boston in the future.
Does someone at Massport have a cousin with a sheet metal facade company? On a different topic, I will sign any petition you offer me to keep this awful idea from happening:

Just. Keep. It. Brown. What is it was Massport and facades lately?
Silly question. Someone at Massport ALWAYS has a relative or "cousin" at every construction/materials company.Does someone at Massport have a cousin with a sheet metal facade company?
Worth noting that as far as the lower half infill is concerned, that's already the installed facade - I fear your hopes are forlorn. On a different topic, I will sign any petition you offer me to keep this awful idea from happening:
