The new JetBlue destinations include the airline's first-ever service to Florida’s Vero Beach "as well as the return of service to Daytona Beach," according to a release from JetBlue.

The airline will start flying to Vero Beach and Daytona Beach in in December of 2025, according to JetBlue.

The Nice route is one of my favorite announcements in a while. Excited to have a nonstop option.

Austrian Airlines has filed is schedule from Vienna service for NS26.

Beginning March 30, 2026 4 weekly flights using B789 equipment.
Beginning June 2, 2026 5 weekly flights using B789 equipment.

No sure what their schedule will be in the shoulders. They are set to suspend service to Boston (along with Chicago) from January 12, 2026 - February 12, 2026.

That’s a great time to arrive in Dublin. Sleep on the flight, land around 10-11, have an early lunch and check into your hotel or at the very least drop off your bags.

American Airlines is bringing back non-stop service to Buffalo. I believe this route was cut in 2017-2018 as it was a pretty long running USAirways route pre-merger that AA kept running for several years.

Flights begin March 8, 2026 and will run 3 times a day using E175 equipment.

this is a truly insane flight. Because we're incapable of building a reasonable electric regional rail network, we now need a flight that costs more, has lower capacity, is worse for the climate, and is less reliable, than an electric train.
I don't actually think this is meant for Boston to New Bedford - its meant for New Bedford - LAX via Boston, selling codeshares onto Jetblue, AA or United. I kinda doubt that is a viable business model today, especially for EWB, but that is Cape Air's core business for connecting MVY traffic in BOS - at this point they're the biggest independent regional, but historically several independent airlines existed to fly 19 seat Beech 1900s or EMB120s from minor markets to major hubs - they were the forerunners of today's captive regional airlines. PSA, ASA, Business Express, Comair, etc.

And don't forget the huge time saving for the traveler -- not just travel time (and missed flight risk), but the check-in and security process at New Bedford is going much faster than at Logan.

Even if we had fast, frequent, on schedule regional rail to South Station from New Bedford, you still have to get from South Station to Logan, then through check-in and security. A puddle hopper from New Bedford that drops you inside security is going to be pretty attractive as an alternative.

(FYI, BED is Hanscom Field, in Bedford. EWB is New Bedford's code.)

Edited! Yea, I really should have remembered that.

This one was unexpected.

Southwest to launch a daily Boston-San Diego flight on June 4 2026. It will be Southwest's first transcon red-eye into Logan.

BOS-SAN 16:25-19:35
SAN-BOS 21:35-06:00

It is loaded until first week of August. It may be summer seasonal for now.

One would think if anything, they would do this with Phoenix or Las Vegas since they have a larger presence at those airports. I think it may be the best fit for plane utilization.

Southwest is also resuming Boston-Kansas City on a daily basis this summer. The schedule varies on day to day basis.

Sunday is an AM departure. All others are mid afternoon 2-3pm-ish departures.
