When I first visited Boston in 1986, I remember Kendall was a complete mess and under construction. I think they were lengthening the platform, and that's when they also installed the acoustic artwork. I remember single light bulbs hanging from the ceiling over the platform. It had a very "London Underground" look to it.Progress, indeed. I was thinking about it, and the core of Kendall near the head houses has been under constant construction of one form or another since early/mid-2017 if I'm not mistaken. The Google and MIT buildings, both headhouses, etc. By summer this whole section will finally be complete (ignoring 200 Main...). Street view shows the original Cambridge Trust 1-story bank building intact in September 2016 and demolished by October 2017. Quite the sprint for the area!
