10 data-center buildings would go up over two decades, eventually spanning 2.7 million square feet of space .... the AI boom would likely accelerate that timeline. ... the first building would likely take around 18 months to complete ... cost more than $3 billion at full buildout... So which giant tech company is going to set up a major operation in Westfield? Will it be Amazon, Alphabet, or maybe Microsoft?

Much of the Globe article deals with the Legislature exempting the development from state use and sales taxes. Westfield would receive about $372 million in property taxes over 40 years.
