Metro photos from around the world

New "rarest" one for me, the Dnipro Metro. Here are 5/6 stations, Zavodska was closed :(

Wait, you're in Dnipro...right now? If you're at liberty I'd be very curious to hear how it was getting in and out of country.

I was only there for a day (April 20th), it's not somewhere I really wanted to stay overnight at the moment. Itinerary was Kyiv->Dnipro->Uzhhorod->Lviv. I did a similar thing last year, that's where the photos from Kyiv and Kharkiv came from.

Getting in/out is not hard. Time consuming yes, difficult no.You go to the border via train, either Chelm from Warsaw, Przemsyl from Krakow, Chop from Vienna/Budapest/Debrecen/Kosice, or there's a much longer direct train from Chisinau. I'm a masochist so I actually took the train all the way from NL this time since easter flights were very pricey. (By Ryanair standards, so like €150 each way). Crossing the border is easy, they take your passport and give you a stamp, I haven't had anyone ask questions.

At Nieuwmarkt station in Amsterdam, artworks remember the destruction that built the metro.

Not pictured, but on tiles in the floor is written "Wonen is geen gunst maar een recht" (Housing is not a privilege but a right)

Perhaps Government Center could use with some "Greetings from Scollay Square" postcards on the walls.

The view from the MARTA Buckhead station platform in Atlanta. I took the train from Buckhead to midtown Atlanta a few times on a recent trip and found the station to be pretty well-connected to the surrounding environs, as car-centric as they may be. The traffic in Atlanta is so bad that MARTA, even with all its flaws, is a good option if your starting and ending destinations are a reasonable walk from a station.

Was in Pittsburgh recently for work and had a great experience using the transit system. Rode the subway / light rail, inclines, and a ton of buses. The downtown free fare zone for the subway was great, and the bus system was very easy to use and seemed to have a great mix of coverage and frequency. I never had trouble getting anywhere I needed to go and never waited more than 10 min for a bus. And the integrated fares / seamless transfers made everything quite easy.
