Mission Hill Infill and Small Developments

Stumbled across this bizarre house (triplex?) at 141 Fisher Ave in Mission Hill. I would love to know more about when this was built. One of the more unique structures I've seen in Boston.

Street view has even better views of it with Ivy growing across the garages. 😩

There are a bunch of interesting buildings on that street; that house takes the cake tho

That feels like the kind of house that started out one way and folks have just been adding to it over the years. The interior has to be wild.

A few shots of the new Sunset Lofts:

love how tremont street has been getting filled in these past few years, and theres still more to come with the possible projects at 1558 tremont, 80-100 smith, and parcel 25 phase 2

A fun context map from the PNF- Link
This seems like near-perfect development to me - a lot of housing filling vacant space, it’ll likely be filled almost entirely with college students, justifying the low parking numbers and opening up more of the older housing on Mission Hill for families, and seems to fit that side of Tremont Street well scale-wise.

So I've gone by this property on Tremont before, but today I had work on Sewall and parked the car up the hill, in which case I walked down the crazy narrow Sewall and came upon 1470 from a totally new approach angle. In photos it's easy to fixate on the shitty aluminum panels, but in person the rough face stone and brick texturing stand out way more than the lesser parts.
