Morrissey Boulevard Redesign

Unfortunately, the time to eliminate Morrissey as a commuter route was 25 years ago, before the Seaport was built out. Now, it's become a main line for South Shore people who work in the Seaport. Even on weekends, people going to the Seaport use Morrissey rather than 93. I shudder to think about what happens if you FORCE all those Seaport workers onto 93.
A survey was done by the city in 2021 on what mode Seaport commuters use to get to work and the pre-pandemic mode share of Seaport workers who drove alone was 20%. Survey had 29% say they'd drive in after the pandemic but I'd imagine the reality is a lot of those jobs remained WFH, resulting in a smaller jump than 9%. This is out of a total ~25000 jobs in the Seaport, so only 5000 or so people that are trying to get to work by driving, which are not all coming from the south. The people I know who have had to go to the Seaport from the South have no clue what Morrissey is cause they get off at the Bypass exit.
