If we can give 6 story projects in Allston their own thread, we can certainly split off a dedicated one for a 21 story building! All of the sub-21 story South End projects have their own threads. The shorter projects in the Seaport have their own threads. I'm pretty sure there's a 4 story lab in Kendall that has its own thread. I think it should go without saying that, at a minimum, any stand-alone 12+ story project can have its own thread.

Exactly -- especially as this is just the first of many phases that have been proposed -- replacing that stretch of industrial / warehouses TOD-style on the Red Line from near Broadway and headed toward Andrew Sq along the Dorchester Ave

Let's try to qualify that any project that has more than 20-ish units gets its own thread. It can be hard to bust up all of the neighborhood threads in a helpful way, but going forward, if you find a development that's adding more than 20 units of housing, give it its own thread.

George -- how about 50,000 sq ft -- it might be condos [25 or so] it could be a boutique hotel or it could be a small lab/r&d office building or it could be something else like District Hall

This size of a structure would be infill in the Seaport or Kendall Sq. but if it was built on the edge of an existing residential neighborhood -- it would be a "Major Project"

I like this idea. I think the BPDA distinction between "small project review" and "large project review" is or is close to 50k sqft.

That's probably a definition which we could easily adopt as there is ample documentation on the BPDA website and so it wouldn't seem so arbitrary for the ABforum

Man, Boston is on fire (in the good way) right now!

I thought for a second that this was an updated Flower Exchange rendering. The developments will be looking at each other across the HWY! Build them both now!

There, once again, are the fertile green hanging gardens from terraces we see in every goddamm render that never translates into reality when a thing is built.

I feel like yelling - - enough already, stop shitting us!!!!!!!!

Some of those look like they line patios, so they might happen.
