NYC Architecture and Development

Wow, first month in NYC done and in the history books! It's pretty sweet so far... I love how many places the subway system can get me to, and takeout food is somehow a bit cheaper, but besides that it's not all too different from my time spent down on South Huntington. The building density is in a whole 'nother orbit though, that's for sure, and boy the number of ugly brown buildings here is staggering. Boston definitely is on the whole much prettier.

Hello all once again! Two months down in NYC and I can't really complain (although of course I could, ha). As it turns out the only thing that's really taken much adapting to is the subway system, and on that front I've learned lots, though there's always more I could know ("oh, at this station I want to be near the front of the train" etc etc).

Besides that, I can conclusively say that food is a little bit cheaper here while everything else is more or less a wash. Oh and living on the first floor of such a densely packed area is nooooooiiiiiiisy!

And on this day I walked the George Washington Bridge for the first time... such an impressive structure and the views are nothing short of awe inspiring

The first big blizzard that didn't deliver down here (my sincerest condolences to you guys... you're getting walloped)

I really love living in the shadow of this commanding structure

Three months down already? Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit. Well NYC is starting to not feel so huge, which is weird since it's always been this overwhelming beast but I guess that's a good thing.
