Park Square Charter School Building Bought

The building next to the Charter School Building LOOKS like it's sinking!
 
I always wondered what it said underneath the Renaissance Charter School sign:

PS...I hear that the renovation of this building has been a financial disaster...change orders for hidden conditions have been through the roof. The developer paid too much and is now getting killed on his contruction costs...tough situation.
 
I just drove by the new/old charter school building on Hyde Park ave tonight. It's an old machine tool factory, and it's nice that they re-used it. Another old industrial building down Hyde Park ave towards Walcott sq was just torn down. I have to say it was no beauty. They're cleaning up the rubble now.

Apropos of nothing - across Hyde Park ave from the building that was just torn down, in 1912 there was the Curled Hair Factory. I'd love to know the story of that company, beyond the fact that it was founded in 1870. Is curly hair really made in factories?
 
Curled hair was animal hair processed for use as stuffing in furniture and matresses.
