If only you could have known then what that Star Market view would look like now. Amazing.

I didn't realize the Big Dig fencing was up that late (2005) in front of the InterContinental. Seems kind of anachronistic in a sense.
You can see the nearly exact same time rear view of the Intercontinental in The Departed.

How on earth is that movie nearly 20 years old??? The only thing that really dates it is the texting on the flip phones, otherwise I'd say that movie doesn't feel old at all.

Classic. I havent watched it in a while I may need to pencil it in. Also the town… whos car we gonna take? Love that shit. The irish gangster affleck boston movie is all but worn out by now and doesnt reflect the current city whatsoever, but damn they had a good run there. Maybe in the 2030 remake they rob a biotech lab with some college grad girls from southie to reflect the current landscape lol.

My favorite Boston based film is The Friends of Eddie Coyle. Robert Mitchum is great in it, it even has Peter Boyle. Some great skyline shots of early 70s Boston as well, when towers were starting to go up.

'Tis the season

Given the amount of time you spend in my neighborhood (and, I suppose, your old neighborhood), I'm surprised we haven't crossed paths. On the off chance it's you, I'm just gonna start talking to people I see with decent-looking camera rigs. ;)
