The award for the most hideous looking livery goes to . . . Spirit! Though I will give them credit for the having the best paint scheme if the goal is to be recognized on the tarmac in the company of other airlines.

Looks like Frontier is officially done at PWM. Their schedule extension through March shows no bookable flights.

Good opportunity for MX and B6 to up their game with more lift to MCO.

If you look at their bookable engine, PWM and PVD are still on the list. Both have no flights. My feeling that they drop a city for a while, then come back. BTV has very little in flights to MCO as well. You go to Avelo and PWM is completely off the map. There are several opportunities for airlines to several destinations: FLL, MYR, VRB, Palm Beach, MIA, FLL has always been my headscratcher.

I just looked at the Jetport website, and neither Frontier nor Avelo is listed anymore. So much for the New Haven gambit!

You've all heard me rant about FLL enough times!

Not surprised at all about HVN. Although I wouldn’t have minded if Avelo stayed and added some winter seasonal routes.

From what I can tell, Avelo isn’t in good shape overall. They recently abandoned almost all of their west coast operations.

East coast Florida is such low hanging fruit. PWM-FLL would be a perfect fit for B6 given that it’s their third largest base. Good connections for cruise passengers plus lots of onward B6 connections to the Caribbean/ Latin America

With Avelo not coming back
Frontier has pulled out
Is there opportunity for someone else to come in?
Allegiant? Both BGR and PSM have flights
Sprirt-Nope
Alaska-Longshot Nope
Are we at the status Quo point? Is Breeze going to add additional routes? SWA? B6?

Spirit is in no position to expand. They just announced that they’re axing dozens of routes. I would be very surprised if they even survive another year.

Also very unlikely that Alaska would enter PWM. There are much larger markets on the East Coast they still haven’t entered and they’re preoccupied with absorbing Hawaiian at the moment

I could -possibly- see Allegiant entering PWM with less-than-daily summer seasonal routes similar to what they offer out of BOS. Routes like BNA, IND, CVG, AVL ect. Those types of summer seasonal routes wouldn’t be direct competitors with their Florida services out of BGR and PSM.

However, I think we’re mostly going to be status-quo for a while. I think what we’re most likely to see is more frequency and capacity on existing routes from MX. I could also see MX adding MSY, summer seasonal CAK (Cleveland-Akron) and winter seasonal PBI or VRB. It’s also possible WN could add summer seasonal DEN or DAL

Nice!! Do you think there’s ever going to be a future where that part of the terminal gets higher ceilings (a face lift is you will)? I know there’s tons of wiring/piping above the current ceiling but if that ceiling were raised even 10 feet it would make that part of the terminal feel way less congested. Could get creative and revitalize the entire interior and exterior look of the airport if they were to secure funds to raise the roof!!
Good problem to have; how to deal with an overcrowded terminal.

With all the operational work on their plan, I highly doubt that purely cosmetic / psychological changes will rise to the top very soon. Especially if they entail reworking the HVAC system.

With Breeze announcing international flights out of TPA, RDU, and PVD on the A220
Montego Bay, Cancun, and the DR. My question is when is the FIS going to be built and done?

Direct to IAH completely full on the 76 seater. Hope that route continues to do well and we see mainline service next year. Denver seemed to do really well per usual for United as well.
