Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

The Delta plane passing by is an eriee reminder of 09-11, as it appears to be hitting the JHT!!

I like this one more than I thought I would. The glass is certainly different enough that it doesn't look completely ridiculous next to the Hancock. Snapped these at a red light while searching for parking in the South End. From this angle it's sort of our Batman Building.

Why are there open spaces at the top of the JHT? Aren’t they usually covered!
I thought it was just the angle? But now I think you're right. That's the panel of black/grey windows rather than reflective, but it sure does look like they've all been removed (for replacement, presumably, but why and why all of them at once?).

That's the floor with the dampener. Never been sure why it necessitated non-reflective glass, but maybe it doesn't and they (Cobb) decided to highlight the innovative feature rather than hide the necessary fix for a troubled design?

Note on the ground floor transportation implementation -- this hotel has way too small of a curb cut.

It may be right next to Back Bay Station, but that is NOT how the clientele arrive. Ubers, limos, taxis block Stuart Street virtually every evening of the week.

Semi related, does anyone have a good picture of the building, it's been lacking one on the Wikipedia list of tallest buildings in Boston for some time now
