This really is terrible news!
She definitely designed some funky buildings! She never got to move into her 1000 Museum/Miami condo tower, which is under construction, which she had planned to do.....Featuring a private/rooftop helipad, among other cool features, it will make everything around it look downright old-fashioned. I actually prefer the top of the tower better. The bottom is a little too curvy and almost art nouveau-ish for my tastes (for want of a better description), but that is what she was known for.
We'll probably hear a lot more about her designs now that she has passed. Like the Band Perry song says....and maybe then you'll hear the words I've been singing. Funny, when you're dead how people start listening.
RIP Zaha Hadid
 
I woke up today looking at my news feed thinking "Man there is a lot about Hadid, did she win something?" :(
