Skylines and Developments of the US/World

Here's a few pics driving through Atlanta of their most iconic buildings, taken between riding roller coasters down there. There's a new terrible tower around the same height of the Pru but otherwise it's really the 1970's-1990's towers carrying the day. Also, I have a new #1 coaster, Arieforce One!

Wasnt sure if I should make a different thread for things like this.

The wheeler district is a new, dense, mixed use neighborhood being constructed right across the river from downtown okc. Okc isnt exactly known for dense neighborhoods so this is great to see. They really maximized land use here where hardly any space is wasted. They kept the houses on the smaller side while fitting in as many as possible which should hopefully help keep costs in check. Its not an entirely mixed use neighborhood, most lots are single use, but they did put retail areas within close walking distance. This is imo a good example of how dense new neighborhoods should be being built in 2026.

Very, very nice. Quality architecture, high density, non-car-centric, walkable, and a good retail/sidewalk vendor area. Is anything like this going up around the Boston area? If not, it should be.

Looks a little like one of the 1980s / 1990s-era New Urbanist developments

I'm hope the Southfield redevelopment turns out something like this.
