Real-estate office could make way for apartment building on East Broadway
![]()
“The owner of the Playwright bar on East Broadway in South Boston has filed plans to replace a neighboring building with a four-story 12-unit apartment building.
Joey Arcari's plans for 736-742 East Broadway, filed today with the Boston Planning Department, call for two of the units to be rented as affordable.
The ground floor of the building would consist of commercial space - likely a restaurant - in front of a six-space parking area behind the building.”
