^^ Nice photos. Will something be done to make the ceiling over the tracks look presentable?

Crane within the core on the way down over the past couple of days with the boom being dismantled Sunday and the gantry yesterday; another step closer to the first concrete pour...

Thanks!! Doesn't the tower have several more floors to go before top-out?

Yes. According to post 3870, we're at floor 35 now, still going up to 51 plus mechanicals. This is the top of the office part of the building, and also the top of the "shoulders" seen in the renders. The general consensus seems to be that they'll be switching from steel to concrete for the residential floors.

Ok., it's the last segment of floors left where the smaller part of the tower is that will finish it off & top it out. It will be almost as tall as the Pru Tower. :)

It's basically the height of the Pru without the Pru's top section. There's not a huge gulf here.

Not saying SST won't be tall, but however you slice it 677' is not (to my way of thinking) "almost" 749'.

Yes, without the Pru's top section it'd be considerably shorter (just like any tower/highrise would be considerably shorter if you chopped off the crown, mechanical penthouse, or however you define "top") -- but so? "The old John Hancock building would be much shorter without the zigguart crown." Very true, but that crown is there, as is the resultant height.

Agreed. Also, not part of the building, but the Pru has the huge antenna on top, which adds a little something too. I believe the antenna goes up to like 925' or thereabouts. And the Pru's crown is the most noticeable thing on the skyline at night. SST will be no Pru.
