No, but I was riding my bike on that path the day before.
The buses are normal buses but they have little guide-wheels sticking out from the side that interface with the concrete 'tracks'. The buses have to leave the tracks and use normal streets for the central part of their journey. One of the routes goes right past my house, actually. (Express though)
I was wondering what would happen if one of the guide-wheels broke off just the other day... then I read this article. I don't know if that's what happened though.
