Anyone have information about the current development behind the Watermark / across canal from Riverfront? The boat launch has been rebuilt, new walkway along the canal, lot's of trees going in.

Lyme was putting a small scale (~8 fl) high end loft style condo bld on the brownfield, but last I heard about that was 2007.

Watermark phase II? Someone else?

As I was heading to Kendall Square I decided to stop in here and see how things are doing, and look at this -- through selective framing I managed to shoot a decent-looking street scene! In Kendall Square!

Still a lot of empty retail, but the coffee shop seemed to be doing good business

Looks about like what's going up in Dallas these days. Actually in Dallas it would have a pool, so this is a little worse. Not much else can be expected out of the real estate folks I guess.

What matters is who are the occupants -- are there any families with one or more KW's working in the Kendall sq / Cambridge Center complex are they MIT faculty, are they retired MIT profs?
 
I've actually been wondering how much longer it is before someone redevelops this. After Volpe is rolling it will be the best development site in Kendall, and it's going to be comically out-of-scale and character.
