So there are at least a few here, but why does Boston seem to build so few high rises or even mid-rises with balconies? Sure, a lot of buildings have some balconies on corner units on one side of the building, but go to Toronto, the PNW, or heck even Chicago and Minneapolis and I feel like balconies are way more common, to the point where most units in new builds have them.
I think it's just not very enjoyable here since its so breezy - I lived in a triple decker - and the enclosed (but not insulated) one was so nice since you could tame the wind quite a bit - while the other, completely open deck was not so nice despite it being fairly protected from the wind.
