Urban Ring. Please don't flush our money down the toilet building another half assed BRT line that is of little use to anyone. Build or add on to real subway lines or don't bother.

The Urban Ring BRT could always be scaled up to some other form of transit. Better something than nothing.

And Seaport Square is probably the most promising Seaport development to date, though that's not saying much at all.

i dont feel that any of these nominations are truly the worst. they all have redeeming qualities that i think should keep them from begin held in contempt next to the Anti-shadow legislation and the horrible mega block that are currently enshrined.

I picked no award as well. They all contribute something (better than nothing in the end) and don't stand at the same caliber as the ones that are currently holding the trophies for Worst Proposed Developments.

4, especially if that shape is the current proposal for it. They should just shorten it a little but keep it whole.

I don't think Seaport Square is awful. That whole area has basically been a barren wasteland of parking lots and nothing for as long as I can remember. I am resigned to the fact that the FAA has hard height guidelines for this area, and it will probably never become the utopia everybody dreams of. If everything was actually built out, leading to a dense(ish), usable Seaport area in my lifetime... well, simply, I think that would be a good thing.

It would be a much bigger fail if nothing was built.

Dunno if you saw the thread post on this, but that path actually references the path that was once part of the CSC grounds. It's not arbitrary.

Still gets my vote. It's ugly.

I voted for 4 only because I strongly disfavor making the pool shallower. It will negatively affect the aesthetics, and the original designer opposes it.

I hate to disagree, because I want this to be true. Reality is that those renderings are more of the same hulking masses we've seen at the World Trade Center site and Fan Pier. I chose this as the worst proposed development not only because it is uninspired, because it is on Boston's most valuable land mass. This could have been something great, it will not be, and it deserves that nod.

The Urban Ring stands head and shoulders above the rest in this category. Total clusterf**k.

The urban ring is a bad idea. Parts of it are of value but long before that they need to build the missing spokes. Too many areas are not connected to boston by rail

I wish one option for worst proposal was any plan to reduce the size of the Filene's project.

I picked the Christian Science Center alterations. Not because it will necessary have a bad impact on as grand scale a scale as the other projects, but simply because the Christian Science Center is nearly perfect as is, and I see no reason to tamper with perfection.

Pretty apparent that anyone touting BRT needs to shove it.
