Last night the traffic was 30 Miles long on 95 because of the MONDAY NIGHT Football game at Foxborough.

Talk about missed opportunity. Patriots place and the Stadium shoot be on the WATER FRONT.

#1 Could have justified using 1 billion in taxpayers money on massive TRANSIT upgrade throughout the entire city still would have made plenty tax revenue moving forward

Talk about NO VISION from our leaders.
Now look at the CRAP they are building in this area. Talk about missed opportunity.

If you say something over and over, it must be true at some point.

No vision is believing a 30 mile interstate traffic jam is the best of what we're missing.

That 30 mile backup should have been ours!!!!

In 10, 20 years when the area is built out with residences, office and stores we will regrete not having the vision to have filled the area with huge parking garages and obnoxious vommiting drunks a handfull of time a year.

I totally forgot about the drinking game. Haha. I think I proposed it...

That post might be the facepalm post of the year. 30 miles of traffic. Who wouldn't want that on 93, which is already undersized?

It's Southie - Huge parking lots and vomitting drunks are already there 365 DAYS per year (not to mention the glue sniffing teens).

Bob Kraft > The parade of "Developers" that have turned The SBW into Waltham on the Water.

.....but, of course, Boston is afraid of people with vision.

The footprint for the new building looks considerably bigger in person than the rendering illustrates. Anyone know anything about this?

The two new buildings share the same foundation, if you're asking about the length of the site.

^How will this affect the owner's insurance policy if two building share the same foundation? Is it considered one building?

On that front, has anyone seen a final rendering? Is it still this one - http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_G0N9CnT-9R8/TT9IDqaFOXI/AAAAAAAAA9k/_odsk90ywFU/s1600/vertex.jpg

No, that's the old one.

The quality of that first rendering is awful. Where is the second building in the bottom one? Is the top and bottom even the same rendering? Is retail planned to take over the entire bottom floors of both buildings?

Feels like we still know very little about this project, and it's the only one actually being built in the ID.

If I remember correctly, the 2nd photo was only released this summer, near or possibly after the groundbreaking.

I do remember looking closely at images of the baked cake eaten at the Vertex groundbreaking to gain a better perspective (the cake resembled the buildings). This is not an attempt to be humorous -- it is true.

Did the cake resemble the first photo, or more so the second, with the curve along the side of building #1 (can't figure out where building #2 is in that photo).
