Rose Kennedy Greenway

If you see a bunch of people in dark robes in this area RUN

Get a bunch of preachers dressed up nun outfits + scary nun masks and chant: "The Pagans are coming. The Pagans are coming... Stop the pagans...They'll take your children... "

SUMMER -- this extended WINTER is getting boring

...human sacrifice in the middle.

^^Fly out to LA and cruise up Topanga Canyon. We can't apply the sunscreen fast enough. Unfortunately, the ballet dance in the Sledgehammer across the Colorado River basin of the Mojave a month from now will be dicey. Won't help much if i skip i-40 and go up to Grand Junction either. The valley's will still be topping 110F.

I was strolling around the Greenway a couple Saturdays ago. It was a beautiful day.
I had some drinks at that outdoor bar "The Landing" then shot over to Tia's.
I could not believe how booming this area has become. I'm talking BOOMING.

Greenway vs Seaport:
We talk about what is best for the Public:
Wouldn't it make senses:
Seaport is currently getting built out:
Before the build out of Seaport & all those 100m's in tax incentives to these developers.
Seaport lacks real efficient MBTA Transit access. (Bad for the Public)
Seaport does not have real public space like the Greenway offers besides the back
areas of the development. We will see how this evolves when this is actually all built-out

The Greenway
Knocking that Garage down and opening up the Ground Floor would make this area flourish into one of the best Public Communities in the country.
Harbor Garage is suppressing the area.

I'm talking Fisherman Wharf on Steroids this is how beautiful and amazing this area could become.

Talk about missed opportunities for this city of Boston and bad politics.

Thats the way I see it out of my own eyes viewing the city.

Hollywood Blvd has all the scam artists and scientology ripoff.

This is the real shit.

They need to leave it up for years so visitors can see what real pagans can do for a city.

Well, yes, it is symbolism. They are the symbols of the Chinese zodiac.

I agree they are not a exactly as colorful and playful as you might expect at what is ostensibly a children's play area but I don't think they will do any lasting harm either.

That makes sense. Its harmless I think the heads of the animals seem creepy thats all.

Now that you explained that this is the Chinese Zodiac thats actually cool concept.

If I hadn't read about it beforehand I don't think I would have connected the dots either.

I think a lot of people, especially tourists, are not going to pick up on the Zodiac theme and will read it like you did, which is going to make for some rather bewildered looks this summer.

Hopefully they have good signage.

Hopefully they have good signage.

There's a sign down there now talking about Ai Wei Wei and the work. This is actually a part of a larger show/installation, and there are a couple other pieces along the Greenway that all have interpretive signage.

My guess is the bollards are to set off a truck/van delivery area; trash pickup.

I'm interested to see what changes to the design they make, now that the neighborhood has told them that they need to inject some historical context into their plans.

Also, the "Wedge & Fig" may be my favorite rendering-restaurant name ever.

I was so hoping for a bank, a Starbucks and a Verizon store.

I'd like to see it built out closer to the street with less wasted plaza space. You could get a decent sized building there, with a pretty attractive roof deck or something.
