Encore Boston Harbor Casino | 1 Broadway | Everett

Re: Wynn Everett Casino | Everett

Should have mentioned before, one of the first episodes maybe the first, has CGI of the gradual deterioration over many years and then the total collapse of the Hancock tower.

1:00 minute mark if anyone really cares :p

Also the Zakim and I think Old North Church. CGI artist must've been from the area.

Re: Wynn Everett Casino | Everett

Sharman also has some interior shots of the casino so far. Pretty cool, as far as construction geekdom goes.

Cool pictures. Would be interested to see the view towards the city from the tower. It has been a question of how the city skyline view would be from the hotel rooms.

The view of the river is pretty good... although those water facing garages make one question the sanity of the Assembly Row folks on the Somerville side who have otherwise put together a solid development. The view from the water and the waterfront park is supposed to be something you put on a postcard, not the butt end of the development. Such a missed opportunity there.

and we have a confirmed name change to Encore Boston Harbor.

Re: Wynn Everett Casino | Everett

Confirmed by whom, and where? This has been rumored for months, but what's the 'confirmation' that you speak of?

and we have a confirmed name change to Encore Boston Harbor.

Makes perfect sense. The 2nd tower in vegas is called Encore and now they can use that name that they already use/own to separate themselves from the Wynn name and whatever scandal is associated with that, while still using a brand they own and are already associated with anyways. I bet the entire complex in Vegas will be called Encore now that Wynn has stepped down and there is a new CEO/owner and they already use the name anyways. Just throw up a new sign on tower 1 or remove it completely and let tower 2's sign represent both complexes and its resolved. Encore takes the brand away from a single person and moves it to its own entity.

Heres 1 article addressing the name change.

Heres a model showing more of the interior:

Name hasn't changed yet in the model, but shows that there are stairs leading down to the park:

You'll have to trust me for now but this is a done deal. Orders for promotional materials have already been changed to reflect the new name.

The article above the models I posted is dated March 31 and talks about it a little bit.

Dishing some inside news is one thing, but changing a thread title and spreading the gospel before something's been formally announced by a verified source is another. Personally, I think this is unacceptable--it diminishes the integrity of the content shared on ArchBoston.

I didnt change it or say this is now the name. I just said if they did its a good idea and shared an article that said they may after I hadn't heard this either so went looking for it after somebody else said it and they had already changed the title.
