Ares Management Acquires 105 West First Street

New York-based, Ares Management, has acquired the development site for $25 million. The approved seven-story, 250,000 square foot research and development (R&D) office building that will be located on a 42,219 square foot site in South Boston across from A Street Park steps to the Channel Center development and the Broadway MBTA Red Line station.

Several Big Money Developers with the ability to quickly arrange construction financing are converging on this area bounded roughly by the Fort Point Chanel and the Haul Road and Summer St and Dorchester Ave

Tishman is learning what the Life Sciences Lab market wants at least in the Kendall Sq. version

Remember that they have just down the street two &1/2 other teams of developers with a lot more experience at this kind of stuff

Nate Swain compiled this video of the demolition of a former RCN building on West 1st Street by the Haul Road in South Boston. It's coming down to make way for an eight-story office building aimed at "innovators."
