Temple Mountain in NH?

You are getting slightly closer. If you drew a direct line to both they're very close to the same distance from Boston. In fact I put in google maps for "walking" so it's the straightest route they can get, and both mountains were in the 57 mile range from the city.

Is it Wachusett Mountain or Watatic Mntn?

No you're going in the wrong direction. I'm pretty sure I could see Wachusett from one of the 3 main viewpoints. Also saw Monadnock. Maybe some others you guessed but I can't personally pick them out as landmarks.

Did some digging with the clues provided and I am fairly sure you were at South Uncanoonuc Mountain in Goffstown.

I am very impressed! I was actually looking at that "mountain" again yesterday while walking through Manchester. It's very obvious looming over the area with an antenna farm on top. You can't quite get to the exact summit, but there's a couple paths that form a full loop around it, with 3 key viewpoints. One you can see Boston to Wachusett, one you look down on Manchester, and one you can see W/NW including Mt Monadnock and Mt Kearsarge (2 of my favorite/standard hikes).

Challenges like these are candy for me. Thanks for providing it and for the hike summary!
