One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

Why is this taking so long? It's looked the same for awhile now...painful!

Compare/contrast with how quickly BU's stack o' books went up from "empty lot" to "nearly done" and it's all the more perplexing and, frankly, stupid.

Did any companies maintain offices in 1 POS during renovation? If yes there's your probable answer, and it's pretty straightforward. If no then I agree with the perplexing and stupid comment.

Yup, 3 companies were maintaining offices at the BU site, even when it was a dirt-covered lot.

Based on the multitude of posts over the past couple years that also express confusion at how long the PO project is taking, I'm clearly not alone in thinking it's going overly slowly, but hey - you know best.

Huh? I said "1 POS" which stands for 1 Post Office Square, or 1 Piece of...., either which apply.

This is why I asked the question. Your response to me doesn't make a shred of sense. If there were companies still working in 1 POS during the renovation, then it would explain delays when they had to be able to shift space from one set of floors to another. If there weren't (I honestly don't know) then I said I agreed with your assessment.

I have never understood the reasoning behind the endless harangues over the time this project takes. It is a complex project done during a challenging time.

I didn't realize they entirely gutted the building, not just the window frames/facade. I can see why this is taking so long. Consider the time being taken by the Middlesex Ct. Court House project in Cambridge. Maybe if there were fewer pictures/posts of both for a while, until something significant takes place???

I would ask for similar rework of One Financial Center, but I would like to see the replacement before I am dead.
