Shreve, Crump & Low Redevelopment | 334-364 Boylston Street | Back Bay

I was there myself today. And surprised to see that looooong streetfront on Boylston - yet only 2 trees. How the heck do they get away with that?

I was pondering this too, especially because the two trees aren't even symmetrical with the building. My best theory is that it's to do with underground infrastructure for Arlington station closer to the intersection, as a general rule you can't plant a tree on top of any utility and the MBTA also prefers no trees over tunnels where possible.

Streetscaping is nice although plain. It's the sort of building I think most people walking past will have had no idea is brand new.
I'm not a fan of the building given it's prominent location and demo of the older buildings, but will concede that at least while walking next to it on the sidewalk it's better than an expanse of mirrored glass

Yeah I do. “Lol” yourself
Is there really a need to be rude? I’ve never been treated like that before on this site I just asked a question no one said I liked it myself chill out my guy not that serious

The way you stated your question - "You guys still hate this project? Lol" - could be taken as mocking those who don't like the building.

^This. And the runners up are (2) Immature (3) used way too often and incorrectly like “literally”.

Given that the end result is very boring/simple, a reskin or clad is a possibility in the future. So at least there’s that.
