Can we lift the 800-pixel limit on pictures?

^ Well, there's a limit on the size of picture that's free of resizing. It's a drag for a nice big picture to come up grainy and resized, and it's a drag to have to click on it to make it right. (And then repeat the procedure for the next pic.)

Breaks the continuity of a photo essay.

Is anyone else having problems with icons loading? For instance, the only way I can post right now is through the Quick Reply function, as none of the "post reply" or quote icons are showing up.

Kz, I haven't seen this on any of the computers I've used to access the site lately. Maybe try clearing your cache and see if this helps?

Let me know if the problem persists.

I've been getting some 505 errors lately, anyone else?

I've been getting "501" errors, not "505" errors. 501 errors are like 505 errors, but gayer.

Ive been getting those errors too. They seem to occur when the board is busiest, so I assume it's server strain. We're going to have to upgrade soon, I think.

I can't stand the user:guest ratio. Come on guests: sign up and contribute!! :)

Briv, this is what things look like for me -- no icons load:

I cleared my cache, history, ect. out and nothing has changed.

kz, I'll try to solve this soon. Is anyone else having similar problems?

Yeah, it's happened before, but it'd only last for a short while. This time though, it's been going on for about three weeks now.

Is it me or has the load times on this board increased recently? It just seems to take forever for a thread to load, even if there aren't a lot of pictures in it.

I noticed an increased lag time too. I wouldn't say it takes forever, but there is definitely a delay.

Everything OK on the back end Briv? Seems like the delays and 500 errors are getting worse by the day.

Also, what is the "internal server" and why does it have errors?

Not sure if you are being serious or not, but in case:

A server is a type of computer that stores and delivers web pages. When you post a comment it is posted to that page file on the sever and the next person who requests that page will see your post.
Errors usually occur when there are too many requests to the server than it can handle.

(That my my internet 101 understanding of it. I'm sure it's a bit more complicated.)

No idea what a 500 error is, but it seems to happen 1 in 10 times I click a link here, no matter the computer or network. I've no clue how to fix this stuff, but is it possible we need to do some housekeeping? Like deleting threads that aren't relevant/commented on anymore?

I have problems seeing the posted pictures when I'm on my school server, but I believe that is only due to image hosting sites being blocked.
