Recently (past few months), trains between East Somerville and the bridge go extremely slow. I noticed a S10 sign on the outbound track while riding into the city today. Why isn't this marked on the slow zone tracker?
What does "How often do you deviate from a planned route to avoid an obstruction?" Does it mean avoid a particular street or block, or just exit the bike lane to avoid the obstruction? It's gotta be the former, since not avoiding the obstruction in the latter means running into it.
I was watching a Type 9 go by while riding on the path this morning and I noticed that there is a little mirror that extends when the doors open. They've already got a mirror that pops out when the doors open, what is stopping the MBTA from adding a stop sign?
The path between School and Medford was open today. Plants-to-be-planted were left blocking one half of the path for like 50ft, so i'm not sure it's open-open, but it certainly was nice to not have to detour down school and back up medford, again.
my wife and i have been arguing about what the happy birthday message was, me arguing KYLA and her thinking i'm crazy because it says ANNA. I just noticed in these pictures that they're both there!
I poached the section between Central and Lowell with my kids and some elderly women last week and I was super surprised at how bad concrete section looked. Not surprised they have a team in there fixing it up now.
There is, at least at Magoun. It's annoyingly placed so you have to walk ~20ft into the station to see it, but you don't have to get to the platform for estimated times.
10% of double parking during their study was over an hour. how (rhetorical) the hell can someone leave their car parked in traffic lane for over an hour and not face any consequences?!
You're definitely right, I tried to walk through this weekend and it was gated off again. Don't know where I got the impression that stretch was officially open.
