Almost there

Interesting video of the new brooklyn bridge bike lane. Lane is 8ft wide and looks like it's really tight. The community will be 10ft wide along the GLX so it'll be a little wider. It will be fine for bike commuters but will have a very different feel to the community path beyond lowell st.

Any highlights from the meeting today?

At a previous community meeting they said that they wouldn’t open the community path until work is complete on the line since the community path being open would disrupt work.

Lots of community path progress. This is looking outbound from the cross st bridge. The ramp down to the community path is making good progress and now they’ve poured out the actual path. It continues in the other direction almost to the Washington bridge.

#9 - I don't think that the community path is actually going up there. Last week community meeting did say that there is access to the path from the cross st intersection but I think that ramp is actually a path down to the community path, which will stay at track level. I'm just guessing at...

Is 2015 before costs were cut for the community path?

Ongoing work at the cross st bridge looking over the bridge towards McGrath. It looks like the community path will be coming up to street level and then making a street crossing and going back down. Hopefully they put in a good crosswalk. Or maybe I’m wrong that this is the community path coming up.
